Home game during Saints game...oh yeah!

We had a little home game last weekend while the Saints got it done!! $25 buy in (rebuys until first level).
Players:
  • Me
  • Dawne
  • Sarah
  • Julie
  • Kati
  • Carlie
Very early on Dawne thought I was bullying her in a hand so she pushed all-in with top pair and I had to call with 2 pair. I was in the big blind with 10 2 off. Got to see a flop for free and flopped 2 pair. What could I do? Needless to say she was NOT happy. She did not buy back in right away. :) The next person to go busto was Carlie. This happened right before first break so she bought back in and had a stack to start the 4th level with. As best as I can recall it was another hour or so before Dawne lost it all again and was out. Julie and Kati weren't too far behind though Kati looked as though she was on the road to a major comeback. Speaking of comebacks...Carlie survived probably 5 or 6 all-ins and came back from the brink of elimination and put herself in a good position whe we got 3 handed. Rough chip counts: Sarah: $6,500 Carlie: $5,500 Christy:$4,000. The 3 of us battled back in forth for awhile, mainly Sarah and Carlie. I was content to let them go at each other and hope one took the other one out. At first it looked like Sarah would take all Carlie's chips but Carlie hit a 3 outer K on the river to take alot of chips from Sarah and put Sarah on life support. Sarah went out shortly after that and won $20 bucks for her effort. :(
Starting heads up between me and Carlie (1st place would pay $120, 2nd place $60) .......Carlie had a 3:1 chip lead over me to start heads up play. Carlie around $12,000, Me: $4,000. It was looking bleak for a bit but I won a couple of big pots and before I knew it we were dead even in chips. Ever the deal maker I proposed a chop with Carlie. $90 each. She agreed but wanted to play it out for bragging rights. We played lots of small pots neither one of us willing to get too crazy. The blind structure was still okay relative to chip counts. A big pot did go to Carlie at one point when I flopped a set of 3's and Carlie rivered a straight. Alas when it was all said and done I emerged victorious! Yeah me!!!
