I'm coming out of retirement!

Ok Im back! I have not played much poker in about 4 months since I took all of my poker bankroll and hopped on a last minute flight to Thailand in May!
So i'm really looking forward to getting back into it and building up a bankroll again. This time in moderation though!
So! I have a tourny on Sunday night with a small buyin ($40) and a cash game afterwards (buyin $100 max).
Alright I know i just said "in moderation" but it just so happens that this month is the 7 Clans Poker Cup at the Coushatta so I guess i have to go right? :)
I plan to play the follwong events:
9/22 Mega Satallite $100 buyin
9/23 Event #2 $200 buyin
9/23 Event #4 $300 buyin
And of course when not in a tourny i will be in the side games!!! Coushatta spreads mostly $2/$5 with a $500 max buyin (or half the big stack).

(The main event is a 4 day event and starts on 9/25 and is a $1000 buyin. It doesnt look like i will be playing that event this year unless i win a seat in satalite. Ive got my work cut out for me before i can start playing in $1000 events again!)

So thats about it for now. I'm excited to be holding chips in my hands again! Wish me luck at the tables!
RECAP: Short story is this, I went, I had a great time but i did not cash in any of the tournies. However I won a few satilites and won enough in cash games to come back up...maybe +$100.

Pearland Poker!

Hiya! I got to play a little Pearland Poker on FRiday night and had a greeat time! I played at Jason and Mary's house (hi Jason and Mary!) and I always really enjoy myself there. Good people. Casual, fun game. Just wish the stakes were higher...oh well story of my life.
I bought in for $100 and proceeded to loose most of it on the very first hand. i had K8, the other guy had AA. The flop came KK9. I bet pretty big, it wasnt like i slow played it or anything. I'm sitting pretty with trip kings. Then of course the turn is and A. :( On the hand I think i lost about $60 total, i was down to $40 so i rebought another $50. I lost another chunk when i flopped a straight and a guy caught runner runner for a full house. blah. so here i am down to about $30-$40. At this point i wanted to flip a coin for my stack. i was feeling really gambly. No one wanted to play. So i decided to just hunker down and try and grind my stack back up. I played to the very end of the night even when we were 4 handed and somehow i managed to cash out at like $168. Not much profit but i had a blast and i was pleased that i did not book a loss.
I really want to start hosting a regular game at my house. I know i just need to throw it up on poker campus and make it happen. I'm gonna do it...soon.
